Pain Point 3: The LED strip falls off after being pasted

Problem:

The adhesive backing of the strip cannot maintain long‑term strong adhesion, especially on damp, high‑temperature, or uneven surfaces. After a period of use, parts or the entire strip may lift or fall off.

Solutions:

  • Thoroughly clean the mounting surface with alcohol before pasting to ensure it is free of oil, dust, and dirt.
  • In dry indoor environments, you may additionally use neutral silicone sealant or high‑tack double‑sided tape.
  • For outdoor, damp, or load‑bearing scenarios, mechanical fixing must be used: dedicated clips, aluminium alloy mounting channels, screw fixing, etc.
  • After pasting, press firmly for more than 30 seconds, or preheat the adhesive backing with a hairdryer before applying.

Optimized Layout Methods:

  • For locations such as ceilings and corners, install aluminium alloy tracks in advance. The strip is embedded into the track, ensuring secure fixing without relying on adhesive.

  • If the substrate is uneven, first level it with a wood board or mounting frame before securing the strip.

  • In moisture‑prone areas (e.g., kitchens and bathrooms), place the driver and connectors inside sealed enclosures, and fix the strip itself to a dry side surface using clips.
