Pain Point 1: Uneven Illumination, Stripes or Localized Shadows

Problem: When the light box is turned on, the image shows alternating bright and dark stripes (like ribs), or there are noticeable dark areas at the gaps between the light bars. The spacing between the light bars is too large, exceeding their effective illumination range; or the distance between the light bars and the diffuser plate is too short, preventing the light from mixing evenly.

Solutions:

  1. Adjust light bar spacing (Golden Rule): Ensure that the spacing between light bars is ≤ the distance from the light bars to the graphic. For example, if the light bars are 8cm from the graphic, the spacing should be controlled within 8cm.

  2. Choose wide-angle light bars: Use diffuse reflection light bars with optical lenses and a beam angle ≥170° to increase the coverage area of each LED.

Optimized Layout Methods:

  1. Backlight layout: Arrange light bars evenly. If the light box is shallow (<8cm), diffuse reflection light bars must be used.

  2. Edge lighting layout: Use top-bottom or left-right opposing lighting to eliminate dark areas through cross-reflection of light.
